In this edition of #MeetTheTeam, we spoke with Vladimir Acevedo, Operations Leader at Loads, about how he leads the execution of efficient and secure logistics operations, driving continuous process optimization, proactive risk management, and seamless shipment coordination. He also shares his perspective on the future of the global food trade and the role that technology, traceability, and transparency will play in building a more connected and sustainable supply chain.
1. What’s your current role at Loads, and what’s your main focus right now?
I currently serve as Operations Leader, focusing not only on delivering operational and logistical solutions effectively but also on anticipating risks and optimizing processes to ensure resilience and efficiency across the company.
2. What’s your role at Loads and what’s a typical day like for you?
A typical day involves coordinating operations and leading the operations team, ensuring that each shipment is executed thoroughly and safely. Beyond the usual tasks—shipment coordination, document review, and communication with logistics chain stakeholders. My role also requires foreseeing contingencies and designing continuous improvements in workflows.
3. What’s something you’ve learned working in international trade at Loads?
Working in international trade at Loads has allowed me to consolidate expertise in international regulations and country-specific requirements, both at origin and destination. I have also developed negotiation and adaptability skills in dynamic environments, strengthening teamwork and enriching my experience through the multicultural nature of the markets.
The most important change I foresee in the global food trade is full digitalization, driven by technologies that will make trade more transparent, traceable, and sustainable.
5. What’s the most important value that drives decision-making at Loads?
The most important value guiding decision-making at Loads is logical reasoning: we always pursue the solution that makes the most operational sense and delivers the best outcome for clients, partners, and the internal team.
6. If you had to describe Loads’ culture in three words, what would they be?
Transparency, technology, and trust.
7. How do you see Loads evolving in the next few years?
Loads has the potential to become a global reference in digital food trade, integrating technology and traceability as competitive advantages and consolidating itself as the first choice for food markets.
8. What are you most excited about in the coming months?
What excites me most about the coming months is the growing number of opportunities and challenges that will allow us to reach more people and markets, strengthening our position and generating a positive impact in the industry.
