From my role in Finance and HR, understanding new markets and how labor, accounting, and tax regulations work in each one is essential to ensure full compliance. At Loads, you are learning all the time. Personally, my biggest takeaway has been understanding that constant resource optimization and the effective use of available technological tools are key to the success of any company—especially in international trade, where you serve clients across different countries, cultures, languages, and needs.
4. What’s the biggest shift you see coming in global food trade?
Significant changes are coming in the next few years, mainly driven by the need to reduce environmental impact and promote responsible production. Climate change is already affecting agricultural output, creating uncertainty around pricing and food availability. Technology and digitalization are undoubtedly transforming the industry—and this is where Loads is ahead of the curve.
